Why cannot I Access Account Live?


Computer users all across the globe use Microsoft products such as Office, Windows, Cortana, OneDrive, Skype, Outlook, Edge, and more. To manage anything and everything about these products, you can visit account.live.com. The platform has been specially designed by the company to deliver a hassle-free experience by allowing users to monitor activities such as keeping a check on the browser history, subscription renewal & cancellation, updating security information, scheduling a repair, and more, under one roof.
To make all this happen, the only thing you have to do is to create an account at account.live.com. However, if you already have the same, but finding difficulty during the login, then check out the possible causes with their solution that are mentioned here:
1.       Make sure you have entered correct details
Verify the login information (email address, phone number, Skype ID) you have entered. Also, ensure that there are no typos in the password you have provided. (Passwords are case-sensitive, so check accordingly)
2.       Try a different browser
Sometimes cookies and cache memory can cause problems and doesn’t allow signing in to a certain website. Try accessing the Account Live in some other web browser.
3.       Visit account.live.com/password/reset
If everything seems fine and you still cannot access your account, then the only way left is to perform the Account Live password reset process. Don’t panic; it is not rocket science. Simply follow the steps mentioned below to recover your account:
(To reset Account Live password via this way, make sure the two-step authentication is turned on. And if it is not, then follow the password recovery steps mentioned under point 4)
·         At account.live.com/password/reset, type in your registered email address or phone number (You can also use your Skype ID to reset your Account Live password)
·         Click Next, and you will instantly receive a password reset code on either your phone number or email ID
·         Check your email’s inbox for the password recovery mail, which contains the code, or open your phone’s messaging application to find the message
·         Get the code and enter it correctly on the next page
·         Now, you can set a new password for your account and access it like before


4.       Visit account.live.com/acsr
In case the two-step authentication feature is disabled, then do as instructed below to reset Account Live password:
·         At account.live.com/acsr, enter your registered email address
·         Now, provide some other email address
·         If you do not have any alternate email, then create the same with the Outlook.com
o   For this, you don’t need to go anywhere else. Click “Create a new one with Outlook.com” and follow the on-screen instructions
·         Enter the captcha correctly
·         Set a new password and access your account like before
